A Clive man will be arraigned Thursday on first-degree harassment charges after allegedly threatening in June to kill two people in West Des Moines.

Geoffrey Laverne Forney, 32, of 9058 Summit Dr. in Clive was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on two counts of first-degree harassment.

According to court records, the charges stem from two June 18 incidents at a West Des Moines apartment complex, where Forney allegedly harassed one of his victims by “confronting the victim outside her apartment” and telling her “he would send people to kill her.”

Forney allegedly harrassed a second person “by entering the victim’s home,” where he allegedly threatened “to kill the victim.” The second victim was male.

Forney is held without bond in the Dallas County Jail. He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Dallas County District Court.

Forney has prior convictions in Polk County for disorderly conduct in 2013, methamphetamine possession in 2014 and forgery, second-degree theft and third-degree burglary in 2015.
