The Boone community was shocked and saddened Tuesday when it learned of the death of a Boone Middle School student.
Boone Community School District Superintendent Brad Manard released the following statement Tuesday morning:
“Last evening, we were saddened to learn of the death of Boone Middle School student Anthony Kepple as the result of a suicide. We are deeply saddened by this news and offer our support to the Kepple family. School counselors will provide support to Middle School students throughout the day on Tuesday.”
Manard said the school district will make ongoing counseling services available to students, families and the community as they process their grief. He encouraged the community to use these services or to seek counsel from a church or other support network.
