Dallas County’s Republican and Democratic parties are gearing up for the Fourth of July parades and a summer full of politics with events this week.
On Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at Evans Park in Adel, the Dallas County GOP will host its annual pork tenderloin and potluck picnic. Online registration is requested.
The Republican Central Committee will grill Iowa pork tenderloins and provide the buns, and attendees are asked to bring a side dish to share and invite their neighbors to come along.
“Come talk all things politics and eat the pork,” said Dallas County GOP Chair Ronald Forsell. “As our beloved Sen. Joni Ernst says, ‘Let ’em squeal!'”
On Monday, July 1 at 5 p.m. at the Adel Community Pavilion at 1016 Main St. in Adel, the Dallas County Democrats will welcome Presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota. Online registration is requested.
Amy for America will supply meat. Attendees are welcome to bring a side or dessert to share, and everyone is asked to bring drinks and lawn chairs.
“Join us for a potluck outside with Amy, and hear directly from her about her plans to propel our country forward,” said Dallas County Democrats Chair Bryce Smith. “Then join other supporters for a Q&A with Amy.”
