DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 1.030 at about 9 p.m Saturday, Aug. 22. In Dallas County, 35 deaths have been reported.
The total for positive cases statewide stands at 55,996, including 2,100 in Dallas County.
Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 565,168 have been tested, about 15% of the population.
