DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 1,077 at about 9 a.m Thursday, Aug. 27. In Dallas County, 37 deaths have been reported.
The total for positive cases statewide stands at 59,219, including 2,181 in Dallas County.
Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 614,975 have been tested, about 20% of the population.
