COVID-19 deaths in Iowa rise to 441 Saturday

BALTIMORE — Data from the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 441 at about 10:32 a.m. Saturday, May 23.

Data on the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) website “will not reflect accurate counts during the maintenance period” from 6 a.m. Saturday, May 23 through 6 a.m. Monday, May 25, according to an IDPH statement.

A public hotline has been established for Iowans with questions about COVID-19. The line is available 24/7 by calling 2-1-1 or 1-800-244-7431.
