COVID-19 deaths in Iowa rise to 520, positive cases at 18,792


DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 520 at about 10:15 a.m. Friday, May 29. In Dallas County, 20 deaths have been reported.

The total for positive cases statewide stands at 18,792, including 883 in Dallas County.

Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 146,275 have been tested, about 4.6% of the total population.
