COVID-19 deaths in Iowa rise to 717, positive cases at 29,453


DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 717 at about 6 p.m Wednesday, July 1. In Dallas County, 29 deaths have been reported.

The total for positive cases statewide stands at 29,453, including 1,194 in Dallas County.

Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 310,220 have been tested, about 1% of the population.
