Several members of the Perry wrestling team have tested positive for COVID-19, and, as a result, the school has suspended all mat activities of any kind until Dec. 28.

The decision was made after consultation between PHS Principal Dan Marburger, Activities Director Scott Pierce, Bluejay wrestling varsity head coach Mark Weber and PHS school nurse Jenny Lansing.

Perry was scheduled to face Ballard and host Carlisle tonight and then visit the Waukee Duals Saturday. Both are now off the calendar for the Jays.

The first action after the holiday break for Perry is a Raccoon River Conference triangular Jan. 7 at Boone, with Bondurant-Farrar also attending.
