The city of Perry will begin the crack sealing of more than 50 blocks of roadways around the community from Monday, Aug. 9 to Friday, Aug. 13, the city announced Thursday.
The city has asked residents to use off-street parking for all vehicles or to park on adjacent roadways during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. while the work is underway.
Crack sealing will progress through the week, the city said. If weather or other circumstances impact the progress, an update will be issued for the remaining areas to be completed.
Traffic control devices and flaggers will be in place to warn residents of lane closures as the contractor moves from street to street. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution near the work area.
