The Iowa Wild and Crash the Mascot visited St. Patrick Catholic School Wednesday morning in order to give presentations to the students and visit their classrooms.

Stephen Lewis, P.E., health and technology instructor at St. Pat’s, signed up the school for the Iowa Wild hockey program, which provides the school with hockey floor equipment, such as sticks and balls.

“We scheduled a time for Crash the Mascot to come out and visit with the students,” Lewis said. “They did a lesson with the middle school students on leadership.”

Crash also visited the preschool and elementary classrooms in order to ensure that every student had an opportunity to meet him and ask questions, Lewis said.

“The students enjoyed it, and we look forward to more opportunities with the Iowa Wild,” he said.
