A Creston teenager was arrested Friday for allegedly suppling marijuana to two Perry minors.

Damien Nish Beard, 18, of 504 N. Birch St., Creston, was charged with distributing counterfeit controlled substance to a minor.

The incident began about 7:15 p.m. Friday, when an officer of the Perry Police Department responded to a “complaint from a mother that her 13-year-old son had marijuana supplied to him and another 13-year-old boy by” Beard, according to court records.

The mother said the crime occurred shortly before midnight Wednesday in a residence in the 1800 block of Willis Avenue, where Beard was allegedly “holding and lighting the marijuana for” the victim, “which was all captured on a Snapchat video,” according to court records.

Beard is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 31 in Dallas County District Court.
