Kevin Daniel LeBeau, 37, of Dallas Center, was arrested Monday on a charge of child endangerment-bodily injury.

A Dallas Center man was arrested Monday evening in connection with a Sunday evening incident in which he allegedly whipped a juvenile male with a belt.

Kevin Daniel LeBeau, 37, of 804 Fairview Dr., Dallas Center, was charged with child endangerment-bodily injury.

The incident occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Fairview Drive in Dallas Center, according to court records filed by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

LeBeau allegedly “did strike” the minor victim “on the back and buttocks with a belt between five and nine times, leaving a visible red linear marks on” the victim’s “buttocks,” according to court records.

The action “did cause both children in the household considerable fear,” according to court records, and LeBeau “did admit to doing this for disciplinary reasons.”

LeBeau is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. A no-contact order was issued Tuesday by Dallas County Magistrate Jonathan M. Kimple. LeBeau is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Dec. 11 in Dallas County District Court.

LeBeau was convicted of disorderly conduct-fighting or violent behavior in 2012 in Polk County District Court.
