Dallas Center man lands third harassment charge in three months

A Dallas Center man was arrested Monday for the third time in three months on a charge harassment.

Thomas James Michelson, 38, of 403 Hatton Ave., Dallas Center, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for first-degree harassment.

According to court records, an investigation by officers of the Waukee Police Department found that Michelson had a dispute on March 2 with the victim, a Waukee man, and allegedly sent “threatening messages” via text message to the victim’s phone in the 600 block of Kaylin Drive in Waukee.

According to court records, “The messages consisted of the following: ‘I’m going to hurt y.’ ‘Any where any time I’ll kill you.’ ‘You will pay.’ ‘I’m going to kill u when you grow lbs
and face me.’ ‘Dont sleep your house might start on fire.’ ‘Fucking coward i’ll get ya.’ ‘One pussy jo cops i’ll kill u u hurt a little boy.'”

An arrest warrant was ordered Dec. 17 in Dallas County District Court and served Dec. 28.

Michelson was held in the Dallas County Jail before posting a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 8 in Dallas County District Court.

Michelson was arrested on a charge of third-degree harassment in November in Madison County. The case is pending in Madison County District Court. He was arrested on a charge of second-degree harassment in October in Polk County. The case is pending in Polk County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is innocent until and unless proven guilty.
