DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 3,021 at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, an increase of 72 deaths since Dec. 2. In Dallas County, 59 deaths have been reported, up from 57 on Dec. 2.

The total for positive cases statewide stands at 250,282, a one-week increase of 25,468 positive cases. Positive cases in Dallas County number 6,959, an increase of 397 in seven days.
