DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 3,946 at about 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, an increase of 201 deaths since Dec. 27. In Dallas County, 67 deaths have been reported, up from 64 on Dec. 27.
The total for positive cases statewide stands at 284,379, a seven-day increase of 9,080 positive cases. Positive cases in Dallas County number 8,016, an increase of 278 in seven days.
