The 2021 Dallas County Foundation (DCF) grant application materials are now available online to prospective applicants, and the application deadline is Feb. 1.

The DCF funds grant requests for projects that significantly impact the lives of Dallas County residents in the areas of health and human services, arts and culture, youth development, education, recreation or the environment and community betterment.

Since its inception in 2005, the DCF has awarded some $1,354,689 to more than 250 projects in Dallas County. These grant dollars have been used to enhance large and small community organizations throughout the county. The DCF mission is to continue funding projects and local initiatives that strengthen our communities now and well into the future.

Grant applicants must be a 501(c)3, 5 or 6 organization or 107(b) unit of government or must affiliated with an organization that has one of these designations. The grant application deadline is Thursday, Feb. 1, 2021, at 5 p.m. Full details, including an application tutorial, are available on the Dallas County Foundation website.

The Dallas County Foundation is an affiliate of Greater Des Moines Community Foundation. It was established to foster private giving, strengthen service providers and improve the conditions of the communities and rural areas of Dallas County. Most of the DCF’s funds derive from state-ordered sharing of gaming revenues from Iowa casinos.
