Dallas County Hospital to host smoking education program

The Dallas County Hospital in Perry is partnering with the Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium of the Mercy Health Network to present a free program, “Tobacco Addiction: Is it Really Worth Treating,” Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6-7 p.m. in the Dallas County Hospital Board Room.

Dr. Lorene Mein, family practice nurse practitioner and American Lung Association tobacco expert, will be on hand in a live videoconference to explain how tobacco affects adults and children and outline the resources and programs for children and adults regarding tobacco use, cessation and prevention.
