- Brandon E. Doerring, 31, of 1203 Linden St., Dallas Center, was arrested for second-degree theft.
- Jorge Guzman Perez of West Des Moines was traveling westbound near the 113 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle struck a truck, driven by an unknown person, that had stopped in the middle of the interstate. No injuries were reported. Guzman Perez said that the truck apparently stopped for a herd of deer that was crossing the road. The truck continued on from the scene of the accident. Damage to Guzman Perez’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000.
