Dallas County Sheriff’s Report Aug. 17

August 13, 2015

  • Roger Warford of Hastings, Neb., was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 113 mile marker when his vehicle was sideswiped by a semi tractor trailer hauling a car trailer. Warford was towing a camper that was damaged in the collision. There was no damage to Warford’s truck. Damage to the camper was estimated at $4,000. The semi tractor trailer did not stop.

August 14, 2015

  • Joseph R. Taylor, 38, of 8020 N. 1000 E., Walkerton, Ind., was arrested at the 104 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 for possession/delivery of marijuana and drug stamp tax payment required.

August 15, 2015

  • Edwin Ochoa Melena, 22, of 1716 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested at 22980 141st Dr., Bouton, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Melena was also arrested on a warrant on a charge of domestic abuse assault.
  • Alan Lee Goetz, 25, of 2514 Samson St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of domestic abuse assault.

August 16, 2015

  • Clayton James Wolf, 18, of 34389 Southview Dr., Cumming, was arrested at the intersection of County Road F90 and Grand Avenue for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
  • Carol Lack of Des Moines was traveling south in the 200 block of First Street in Dawson when a child darted out from behind a vehicle into Lack’s pathway. The child suffered minor scrapes to the right side of his body and was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by the Dallas County EMS.
