Aug. 5, 2022
- Amelia Mapes of Winterset was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 113 mile marker when she slowed for traffic and her vehicle was struck from the rear by a vehicle, driven by Jonathan Wittern of Swisher. No injuries were reported. Damage to Mapes’ vehicle was estimated at $8,000, and damage to Wittern’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
Aug. 9, 2022
- Jose Ventura Barrentos of Des Moines was traveling eastbound on 250th Street near V Avenue when a vehicle, driven by Anthony Lawrence of Granger, pulled into the intersection and was struck by Ventura Barrentos’ vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Ventura Barrentos’ vehicle was estimated at $8,000, and damage to Lawrence’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000. Lawrence was issued a citation for failure to yield. Ventura Barrentos was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
Aug. 10, 2022
- Brittany Rudolf, 32, of 300 West St., New Virginia, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
