Aug. 12, 2022
- Cesar Gaytan Alvarez, 25, of 611 Allison Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for OWI and issued a citation for failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
- Shedrick Cooper, 27, of 3203 W. 43rd St., Sioux Falls, S.D., was arrested for failure to appear on original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false identification and possession of a controlled substance.
Aug. 13, 2022
- Tyler Keny, 19, of 1434 93rd St., West Des Moines, was arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- Mousab Alomyan, 21, of 8925 Cascade Ave., West Des Moines, was arrested for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- A juvenile from Grimes was traveling in the 24000 block of S Avenue when the driver met an oncoming vehicle and lost control of the vehicle, which entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $8,000. The juvenile driver was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
- Michael Hinson of Sulphur, Louisiana, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 104 mile marker when a semi-tractor trailer passed his vehicle and caused the vehicle he was towing to sway and break free from his vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hinson’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
