February 6, 2018

  • Mary Ellen Borst of 1104 High St., Redfield, was traveling east in 15000 block of Old Highway 6 when she lost control of her vehicle, which entered the north ditch and hit a sign pole. Redfield EMS transported Borst to her residence. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to the Dallas County signage was estimated at $200.

February 12, 2018

  • Matthew Lee Logan, 26, of 32458 Hunters Run Dr., Van Meter, was arrested on a warrant for violation of a no-contact order.
  • Yolanda Boh Gwarmba of 1017 Dale Dr., Winterset, was traveling west on U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Jason Ray Rold of 210 Maple Rd, Avoca. Gwarmba was checked by Dallas County EMS but refused further medical treatment. No injuries were reported. Damage to Gwarmba’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, and damage to Rold’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

February 13, 2018

  • Robert Louis Gitzen of 1105 York Ave., Dexter, was traveling northbound in the 34000 block of Ute Avenue when a southbound vehicle driven by Sheniya Markie Miranda Craig crossed the center line and struck Gitzen’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Gitzen’s vehicle was estimated at $300, and damage to Craig’s vehicle was estimated at $300.
  • Tanner Martin White, 21, of 2355 Johnson Street Road, Keokuk, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license under suspension.

February 14, 2018

  • Benjamin Sergey Lang, 20, of 1101 Braden Court, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of first-offense OWI.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
