- Roger Kerndt of Clive was traveling west on Iowa Highway 44 when he attempted to turn south onto W Avenue and, blinded by the glare of the sun, struck the stop sign in the middle of W Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to the stop sign was estimated at $100.
- Daryle DeWayne Snyder Jr. , 49, of 17764 130th St., Perry, was arrested at this address for interference with official acts.
February 17, 2018
- Ampride at 13780 N Ave., Bouton, reported damage to a fence by the front door after it was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
- Tamara Danielle Ramirez, 26, of 24531 N Ave., Dallas Center, was arrested at this address for domestic abuse-simple assault.
February 18, 2018
- Jesse Robert McNally, 23, of 210 S. Prairie View Dr., West Des Moines, was cited and released at Bridgewood Boulevard and 81st Street in West Des Moines for driving while license suspended.
- Matt Vermeersch of 31906 Houston Court, Adel, reported a vehicle break in at the Dexter park and ride. The passenger window was smashed and the glove box opened.
- Kyanja Vanwey of 118 S.E. Fourth St., Des Moines, was traveling west near the 106 mile marker on U.S. Interstate 80 when she lost control of her vehicle, which spun around and collided with the inside barrier. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to the interstate barrier was estimated at $1,200. Vanwey was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
- Shevin Hopkins of 908 Polk St., Dexter, was traveling on R Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
- Jeffrey Garis Lang, 55, of 221 McKinley Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for OWI.
- Michael Trazeek Robinson, 35, of 1310 Sixth Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on original charges of theft and forgery.

- Jennifer Lorene Babcock, 37, of 2783 W Ave., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of probation violation.
- Kenneth Anthony Jacobson, 21, of 530 S.E. Laurel St., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of assault.
February 20, 2018
- Jerome Creasy of Bellevue, Neb., was traveling west on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 115 mile marker when his vehicle was struck by the trailer of a passing semi, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, which jackknifed and struck the cable barrier posts. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $20,000, and damage to the cable barrier posts was estimated at $700.
