- Hussein Buuh, 24, of 1016 University Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
- Phillip Dolezal, 21, of 605 State St., Dexter, was arrested for tampering with a witness or juror.
Jan. 28, 2023
- Ivory Senna, 21, of 613 S.W. 61st St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
- Jace Chumbley of Grimes was traveling northbound in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 169 when he attempted to pass a vehicle, driven by Benjamin Lawson of Perry, and Chumbley’s vehicle sideswiped Lawson’s vehicle and entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to Lawson’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Chumbley’s vehicle was estimated at $700. Chumbley was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
- Robin McCormick of Joliet, Illinois, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 105 mile marker when she lost control, and her vehicle entered the median. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
