July 10, 2019
- Regan Pals of West Des Moines was traveling south near the intersection of Mills Civic Parkway and Grand Prairie Parkway when she dropped something in her vehicle and reached down to pick it up, which caused her to strike in the rear a vehicle driven by Lesa Downing of Creston. Waukee EMS checked both drivers out. Damage to Pals’ vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Downing’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000. Pals was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
- Arthur Roeding of Urbandale was traveling south on W Avenue and was slowing down for a car making a turn onto 250th Street when his vehicle was struck from the rear by a vehicle driven by Graceann Kruse of Dallas Center. Kruse was taken to the hospital by her mother. No injuries were reported to Roeding. Damage to Roeding’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Kruse’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Kruse was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.

- Alison Brianne Schwartz, 31, of 117 W. Spring St., Colfax, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
- Samuel Hernandez Ramirez, 36, of 2801 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of OWI.
- Austin Jacob Foust, 22, of 1001 Collins Dr., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of unauthorized use of credit cards.
