July 8, 2021
- Chayla Smith, 29, of 1509 19th Place, West Des Moines, was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance and OWI.
July 9, 2021
- Tyson Jackson, 27, of 527 E, Bluff St., Carroll, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Chelsea Robertson of Adel was traveling south on Guthrie Street in De Soto when she turned eastward onto Spruce Street, and her vehicle collided with a motorcycle, driven by Thomas Gorre of West Des Moines, who was traveling on the shoulder of the road. Gorre was transported to Mercy West Lakes by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Robertson’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, and damage to Gorre’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Robertson was issued a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license, and Gorre was issued a citation for driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway.
July 10, 2021
- Tory Santi, 23, of 602 Cherry Ave., Woodward, was arrested for assault.
- Nell Poil, 42, of 2209 E. 24th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation.
- Muaid Ali, 24, of 8601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Chad Betts, 47, of 916 May St., Marshalltown, was arrested on a warrant for parole violation.
- Brandy Wall of Hutsonville, Illinois, was traveling westbound on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 112 mile marker when her vehicle struck a barrier on a bridge, and she lost control of the vehicle, which crossed both lanes of traffic and hit a bridge wall. The passengers in Wall’s vehicle were examined at the scene by Dallas County EMS. Damage was estimated at $7,500.

- Jared Umbaugh, 39, of 503 Bridge St., Redfield, was arrested for two counts of trespass and two counts of fifth-degree theft.
