- Daniel Paglia of Des Moines was traveling south on Ute Avenue when he saw a van driven by Melissa Winter of Adel pull out from a stop sign onto Ute Avenue, but Paglia was unable to stop his vehicle in time and struck Winter’s vehicle. Minor injuries were reported. Damage to Paglia’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Winter’s vehicle was estimated at $15,000.

- Dustin Ray Kern, 32, of 219 S. Ninth St., Adel, was arrested for theft.
July 14, 2017
- Alan Randolph Heywood Jr., 33, of 2305 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
