June 2, 2022

  • Richard Beechum, 77, of 22769 Maple Ridge Dr., Adel, was cited and released for OWI.

June 3, 2022

  • Jared Shaw of Farmersburg was hauling an oversized load under the U.S. Interstate 80 bridge on U.S. Highway 169 when his load struck the beams of the bridge. No injuries were reported. Damage to the bridge was estimated at $75,000, and damage to the load was estimated at $50,000.
  • Alexander Morales of Perry was traveling southbound in the 13000 block of O Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $8,000.

June 4, 2022

  • Charles Smith, 34, of 428 Second St., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
  • Dylan Hiatt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was traveling in the 1000 block of Warren Street in De Soto when he lost control of his motorcycle, which struck a mailbox. No injuries were reported. Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at $500, and damage to the mailbox was estimated at $1,000. Hiatt was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
  • Christopher Ross of Earlham was traveling in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

June 5, 2022

  • Courtney Jackson, 23, of 1734 S. 11th St., Adel, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
