- Racy Halterman of 103 Second St, Beaver, was traveling east in the 23000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions, and the vehicle entered the south ditch, rolled and landed on its top. Halterman and a passenger, Jesus Lopez of Jefferson, were both able to exit the vehicle, and both went to hospital by private transportation for possible minor injuries. Estimated damage to the vehicle was $10,000.
- Ryan Dean Morgan, 35, of 1100 Cummins Parkway, Des Moines, was arrested at 723 Marshall St. in Dexter for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and violation of a no-contact order.
- Kelsey Jo Terrell, 27, of 4540 70th St., Urbandale, was arrested at 723 Marshall St. in Dexter for consumption of alcohol in a public place, disorderly conduct and violation of a no-contact order.
March 17, 2018
- Cody Alan Schreck of 105 S Polk St., Linden, was traveling west in the 14000 block of 270th St. when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the south ditch, striking several trees before coming to a stop. Schreck was privately treated for minor injuries. Estimated damage to the vehicle was $6,000. Schreck was issued a citation for failure to provide financial liability.
- David Eugene Schiller, 53, of 19782 Old Portland Road, Adel, was arrested in the 23000 block of Iowa Highway 44 for driving while barred.
- Brhayan Mail Lopez of 2143 S. 18th St., Milwaukee, Wis., was traveling west on U.S. Interstate 80 when she lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway and struck the inside cable barrier. Lopez was uninjured but was checked by the Dallas County EMS and refused transport. Estimated damage to the vehicle was $2,500.
- Tiffany Shelae Vohs of 3007 Canterbury Blvd., Fort Wayne, Ind., was traveling west on U.S. Interstate 80 when she lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions. Vohs’ vehicle struck the cable barrier in the median and then crossed both lanes of traffic before coming to a rest in the north ditch. No injuries were reported. Estimated damage to the vehicle was $4,500, and estimated damage to the cable barrier was $2,000.
March 18, 2018
- Cornell Daniel William, 47, of 1619 23rd St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for second-degree theft.
- Joseph Michael Staley, 19, of 411 S. Hazel St., Van Meter, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Matthew Lee Logan, 26, of 32458 Hunters Run Dr., Van Meter, was arrested at 360th Street and Richland Road for first-offense OWI.
