- A juvenile driver was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near R Avenue when the vehicle entered the ditch. A second vehicle, driven by Porfirio Vargas of Perry, struck the juvenile driver’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Vargas’ vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to the juvenile driver’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Vargas was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while suspended.
- Anthony Wiah, 36, of 2519 Clarkson Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
