- Jack Hunter of Yale was traveling west in the 22000 block of Iowa Highway 44 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
- Eric Niceswanger of Carroll was traveling north on County Road R22 when his vehicle struck an emu running at large. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000.
November 8, 2016
- Marne Sirfus of 22872 Valley View Trail in Adel reported the theft of a credit card.
- John Badger of Ankeny was traveling east in the 28000 block of 360th Street when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
- Richard Bruce Stevens, 53, of 5004 Tamara Lane, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for aggravated theft.

- Nicholas John Whitehead, 34, of 300 N.W. Eighth St., Grimes, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while license under suspension.
