November 8, 2019

  • Veronica Cake of Adel was traveling in the 18000 block of J Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,500.
  • Dalton Vogel of West Des Moines was backing out of his parking space when he struck a Waukee Police Department vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no damage was sustained by either vehicle.
  • Bradley Lynn Saltzman, 42, of 609 N. Lombardy Road, Mount Pleasant, was arrested at 33188 U Lane in Waukee for attempted burglary, interference with official acts, assault on persons in certain occupations, trespass, failure to provide proof of financial liability, operating non-registered vehicle and driving under suspension.

November 9, 2019

  • John Guehlstorff of Council Bluffs was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
  • Mitchell McLaughlin of Urbandale was traveling west in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when his vehicle struck an animal that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

November 10, 2019

  • Amanda Berman of Lincoln, Neb., was traveling near the 104 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
  • James Kozuki of Linden was traveling in the 10000 block of 270th Street when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000.
  • Chaz Warson of Madrid was traveling in the 12000 block of Zook Spur Road when he swerved to miss a deer, and his vehicle lost traction and rolled into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Warson was issued a citation for failure to maintain control and no valid driver’s license.

November 11, 2019

  • Kim Young of Kent was traveling near the 112 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control on the snow-covered road, and his vehicle slid into the cable barrier. No injuries were reported. Damage to the cable barrier was estimated at $100, and damage to Young’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
  • Bradley Konchalski of Des Moines was traveling near the 115 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control on the snow-covered road, and his vehicle slid into the ditch and struck a mile marker post. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to the mile marker post was estimated at $100.
  • Justin Peterson of Perry was traveling west in the 23000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when he hit black ice and lost control of the vehicle, which struck a tree. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000.
  • Rileigh McElroy of Norwalk was turning into a parking lot in the 33000 block of 335th Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Bayden Lyon of West Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to McElroy’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000, and damage to Lyon’s vehicle was estimated at $20.
  • Ron Rickert of De Soto was traveling east on Walnut Street in De Soto when his vehicle was struck head-on by a vehicle driven west on Walnut Street by Robert Stewart of De Soto. No injuries were reported. Damage to Stewart’s vehicle estimated at $4,000, and damage to Rickert’s vehicle was estimated at $4000. Stewart was issued a citation for driving on the wrong side of the road.
  • Brian Bible of Waynesfield, Ohio, was traveling near the 106 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control of his vehicle, which hit the bridge on the right side, swerved across the two lanes and struck the cable barriers. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage tot he cable barriers was estimated at $2,500.
