Nov. 1, 2022

  • Bradley Schnirring of Perry was traveling in the 24000 block of U.S. Highway 169 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $6,000.
  • Gary Repp of Perry was operating a semi-tractor trailer on a dirt road in a farm field on Knox Trail when the road gave way, and the vehicle rolled into a nearby creek. The Perry Volunteer Fire Department extracted Repp from the vehicle, and he was taken to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. Damage was estimated at $20,000. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources was called to evaluate any Hazmat clean up.
  • Seth Blitz, 31, of 2811 Warford St., Perry, was arrested for fourth-degree criminal mischief.
  • Maria Torres Garcia of Perry was traveling in the 21000 block of Laredo Trail near Dallas Center,when she lost control, and her vehicle rolled into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000. Garcia was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license and failure to provide proof of financial liability.

Nov. 2, 2022

  • Donnell Guidar, 32, of 600 Polk St., DeSoto, was arrested for domestic abuse assault and child endangerment.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
