Nov. 15, 2024

  • Maury Clark of Des Moines was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 118 mile marker when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

Nov. 21, 2024

  • Jennifer Carrico of Redfield was traveling on 240th Street near Dallas Center when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

Nov. 22, 2024

  • Alicia Arnajallum, 37, of unknown address in Van Meter was arrested on a warrant on an original charge of OWI.
  • Preben Lansman of Adel was traveling in the 32000 block of L Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $7,000.

Nov. 23, 2024

  • Ronald Caudle of Adel was traveling in the 31000 block of N Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
  • Walker Hodges of Ankeny was traveling eastbound in the 27000 block of 240th Street when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by James Kilts of Dallas Center. Hodges was transported by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Kilts’ vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Hodges’ vehicle was estimated at $15,000. Hodges was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn. The case is under investigation.

Nov. 24, 2024

  • Walker Hodges, 50, of 305 N.E. Hayes Dr., Ankeny, was arrested for falsely claiming emergency.
  • George Hackler of Jefferson was traveling in the 14000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $7,000.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
