- William Moats of Granger was traveling north in the 18000 block of Y Avenue when he rounded a curve and was collided with a vehicle driven by Ashley Peterson of Ames that was stopped in the flooded roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to Moats’ vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Peterson’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000. Peterson was issued a citation for driving while license suspended and no insurance.

- Robert Eckhart of 910 Dallas St., Dexter, reported someone took an off-road light from his pickup that was parked at this address.

- Joshua James Jost, 22, of 35 Aidan St., Waukee, was cited and released in the 24000 block of U.S. Highway 6 for driving while license suspended.
- Chad Michael Daugherty, 37, of 202 S. Ninth St., Adel, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of assault.

- Donna Marie Ott, 37, of 208 E. Second St., Orient, was cited and released in the 36000 block of N Avenue in De Soto for driving while license suspended.
- Mathew Guzman, 19, of 1716 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested at Third and North streets in Perry for driving under suspension.
- Betty Jane Crane of Des Moines reported someone tried breaking into her property at 31684 Old Portland Rd. and damaged a window.
- Alejandra Noemi Barrios Munoz, 23, of 1908 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested in the 19000 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal for OWI.
