A Celebration of Life service for Darlene Myers, 93, of Perry will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Murdock Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 12:00 noon prior to the service. A private burial will take place at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry, Iowa, at a later date.
Darlene passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at the Spring Valley Retirement Community in Perry, Iowa.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Roxanne (Greg) Owens of Junction City, Wisconsin; two sons, Randy (Ruth) Myers of Bouton and Rusty (Sharon) Myers of Perry; seven grandchildren, Corey (Nicole) Myers, Cody Myers, Colby (Mollie) Myers, Cady (Ana) Myers, Mandy (Dave) Meyers, Kelsey (Cory) Cleppe and Janine Zinkevcz; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Shaw of Audubon; sisters-in-law, Shirley Small of Fremont, Nebraska, Colleen Small of Atlantic, Marcia Bourke of Audubon and Darrell and Gertrude Myers of Visalia, California.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Faye Violet (Burger) Small; husband, Leo Myers, on Oct. 2, 2000; three brothers, Floyd Small, Phil Small and his wife, Alice, and Lloyd Small; and one sister, Gloria Horning and her husband, Dean.
Memorials will be directed to the Perry Public Library and may be sent to Murdock Funeral Home in care of the family. Online condolences may be left at murdockfuneralhome.net.
