What is swiftly becoming a new Perry holiday tradition returns again this year, as the Tinsel Trot 5K Fun Run will be held Nov. 30.
The “race” will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Raccoon Valley Bank, with sign-in beginning at 10 a.m. A photo opportunity with Santa Claus will be available. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions.
Awards will given to the Most Festive adult, student and team participating. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
The cost is $30 for adults and $20 for students. Those registering before Nov. 20 will be guaranteed a long-sleeve t-shirt.
Registration forms can be found at any Perry school, the Raccoon Valley Bank, Perry Chamber of Commerce, McCreary Community Building and Snap Fitness. Electronic registration is available on facebook @ Perry Booster Club.
Checks are payable to Perry Booster Club and can be mailed to P.O. Box 325, Perry, Iowa, 50220. No refunds will be given if travel is not advised on the day of the event.
