David Holcomb, 58, of Bagley passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, in Bagley, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be Thursday, July 18 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodward Cemetery in Woodward.

David Myron Holcomb was born June 7, 1961, in Perry, Iowa, to Donald Myron and Delores Marilyn (Challands) Holcomb.

He attended school at Perry High School, graduating with the class of 1979.

After high school, David attended Drake University and obtained his master’s in pharmacy in 1987.

He was united in marriage to Candace Marie Bailey in Las Vegas on July 4, 1990.

David worked at Holcomb Pharmacy for five years, for 19 years at Tyson Fresh Meats and at various construction jobs.

He enjoyed playing golf, raising and selling Angel fish, bowling, jet skiing, geode hunting, dirt biking, motorcycles, puzzles, watching “The Price Is Right,” trouble shooting and fixing things.

David especially loved playing with his grandchildren.

In death he rejoins his, father, Donald Holcomb; sister, Lori Ann Holcomb; and a brother, Mark Alan Holcomb.

Left to cherish David’s memory are his wife, Candace Holcomb of Bagley; mother, Delores Holcomb of Ankeny; children, Kassie (Austin) Munoz of Ankeny, Nicki Spence of Perry and Travis (Bethany) Spence of Perry; grandchildren, Audriana, Declan and Ellington Munoz, Cameron and Caiden Spence and Caleb and Daxton Spence; a sister, Debra Van Gundy of Perry; and many nieces and nephews.
