DCI, Clinton PD seek persons of interest

The Clinton Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) are seeking information on the whereabouts of Khalil S. Pugh, 29, left, and Ja’Kwane O’Brian Polidore, 26, who are persons of interest in connection with a violent crime that occurred Wednesday.

CLINTON, Iowa – The Clinton Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) are seeking information on the whereabouts of two Clinton men who are persons of interest in connection with a violent crime that occurred Wednesday.

The Clinton Police Department was called to the Gateway Apartments in the 800 block of Gateway Avenue about 10:20 a.m. Wednesday in regard to suspicious activity, according to a statement issued Friday by the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

Evidence discovered in building 847, apartment 12, led law enforcement to believe a violent crime had occurred, and the DCI was called to assist with an investigation, according to the statement. A DCI Crime Scene Team from the Iowa Criminalistics Laboratory was also called to process the scene.

From the onset of the investigation, law enforcement conducted several interviews and collected numerous items believed to be of evidentiary value, the statement said. Law enforcement officials continue to maintain the scene, and interviews are ongoing.

To Clinton men have been identified as persons of interest in the investigation: Ja’Kwane O’Brian Polidore, 26, and Khalil S. Pugh, 29.

The Clinton Police Department and the DCI are requesting the public’s assistance with locating Polidore and Pugh. Anyone with information as to their whereabouts is asked to call Captain Davis at the Clinton Police Department at 563-243-1457 or the Clinton County Crime Stoppers at 888-883-8015.
