De Soto man allegedly threatens woman with calls, texts

Adrian Douglas Harvey, 25, of De Soto was arrested Friday on a warrant for third-degree harassment.

A De Soto man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Friday in connection with a Fourth of July incident in which he allegedly made threatening communications to a woman in De Soto.

Adrian Douglas Harvey, 25, of 304 Madison St., De Soto, was charged with third-degree harassment.

According to court records, the victim told officers of the De Soto Police Department that she “received several calls and texts” from Harvey on July 4 that “made her scared and afraid.”

One of the messages read, “GTFO out of my town,” according to court records.

The victim told the officers that Harvey allegedly “has been harassing her for a year and has left trash, cash and alcohol at her house,” according to court records.

A warrant for Harvey’s arrest was ordered July 11 in Dallas County District Court and served July 30. Harvey is held on a $300 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
