All occupants are presumed dead in the crash of a single vehicle on Old Highway 6 west of Adel and near Panther Creek Sunday shortly before 6 p.m.
The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and came to rest on its top before catching fire. The vehicle was fully engulfed by the time public safety agents arrived on scene.
A witness to the crash reported seeing no one exit the vehicle prior to its burning.
Old Highway 6 is closed between K Avenue and Panther Creek Road as authorities investigate the accident.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Adel Volunteer Fire Department, Redfield Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded. The Iowa State Patrol has been notified and is responding.
