Deb was born May 6, 1962, in Perry, Iowa, the daughter of Jerry and Vickie (Hancock) Bender.

She grew up in Perry and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1980. She then attended college in Omaha. Deb lived in Des Moines and then moved to Carroll, where she attended DMACC and earned a degree in criminology.

Deb did social work in Carroll for many years through the Hopes Program.

She was married to Todd Nichols, and to this union a daughter, Bianca, was born. The couple divorced, and Deb was later remarried to David Beyerink in 2016.

She enjoyed reading, playing games on her phone, traveling and shopping. Deb loved going to the movies, eating out and snow!

But most of all, she loved being grandma to her grandsons, Harrison and Hudson.

Deb is survived by her husband, David Beyerink of Carroll; her daughter, Bianca (Ryan) Zylstra, and their children, Harrison (3) and Hudson (5), of Pleasant Hill; her mother, Vickie Bender of Carroll; a brother, Doug (Doreen) Bender of Jefferson, and their children, Blake and Nick (Malarie); and other extended family members.

Deb was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Bender, in 2017; and her in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials for a later designation.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com.
