Deer causes two-car accident near 170th and 141 Diagonal

A Chevrolet passenger vehicle sustained front-end damage Monday night when it struck a deer in the 17000 block of Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal. The vehicle's front door on the driver's side was also damaged when it was struck by a second vehicle.

The front door on the driver’s side of a Chevrolet passenger vehicle was badly damaged Monday night when it was struck by another vehicle.

A deer crossing Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal near 170th Street caused a two-vehicle collision about 10 p.m. Monday.

There were no injuries in the incident that briefly blocked traffic in the westbound lanes between Woodward and Granger.

Mark Salina of 2921 Kading Road in Perry was driving a Chevrolet passenger vehicle when it a deer, causing about $4,000 in damage, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s report.

It appeared Salina’s vehicle was in turn struck by a Toyota passenger vehicle, which nearly ripped the front door from the Chevrolet.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded.
