The National Weather Service (NWS) in Des Moines has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday morning for the Perry area.
Visibility quickly reduces in spots from around 3 to 4 miles to one-quarter mile or less in the dense fog.
Locations reporting visibilities less than 1 mile are Perry, Atlantic, Creston, Centerville,
Knoxville, Newton, Marshalltown and Fort Dodge. More sites may quickly drop in visibility through 7 a.m.
Use caution when traveling. If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
