Deputy Sheriff Bret Maxwell promoted to rank of sergeant Tuesday

In a ceremony held Tuesday morning at the meeting of the Dallas County Supervisors, Dallas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bret Maxwell was sworn into the office of sergeant by Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard.

Joining the celebration of Maxwell’s promotion from deputy to sergeant in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office Tuesday were Maxwell’s wife, Kim Maxwell, and the couple’s twin daughters, Kinzie and Lexi Maxwell, 10.

After Leonard administered the oath of office, the twin girls attached the sergeant’s insignia to the collar of their father’s shirt.

Additional sheriff’s office figures present for the ceremony were Deputy Adam Jacobs, Sgt. Ryan Bowers, Sgt. Tom Peterson and Chief Deputy Adam Infante.
