A Des Moines man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday in connection with an alleged assault in Waukee in last month.

Trishay Marsean Thompson, 22, of 1600 De Wolf St., Des Moines, was charged with third or subsequent offense-domestic abuse assault.

The alleged incident occurred Feb. 16 shortly after noon in the 1700 block of S.E. LA Grant Parkway in Waukee, where an officer of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

According to court records, the victim told the officer that Thompson “pulled her to the ground and struck her while fighting over a cell phone.”

The responding officer observed the victim “had scratches which were bleeding on her right forearm, red scratch marks on her chest and had mud and dirt on her pants from being in a physical altercation.”

The victim said “her arm was sore, but she refused medical attention,” according to court records.

Thompson is held in the Dallas County Jail without bond. He is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Dallas County District Court.

Thompson was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault in May 2018 in Polk County District Court and second-offense domestic abuse assault in September 2018 in Polk County District Court.
