Diane Christine (Dubridge) Dayton, 67, of Shoreview, Minn., passed away Jan. 23, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28 at Roseville Memorial Chapel in Roseville, Minn., with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29 at Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Diane was devoted to her family and extremely proud of the successes of her children.
She earned an M.S. degree in education from Iowa State University and was a strong proponent of education.
Her work life centered around education. She taught GED classes that allowed students who did not receive a high school diploma to receive a high school equivalency diploma.
Additionally, she worked for several years in the Minnesota Department of Education Family Literacy Program.
She enjoyed music, travel and family holiday events, especially Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Julia “Judy” Dubridge; and her sister, Barbara.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill; children, Dennis (Nicole) Dayton and Kristopher (Lauren) Dayton; granddaughter, Elizabeth Dayton; sisters, Janean (Ron) Pennington and Michelle (David) Westbrook; many nieces; nephews; and friends.
