Perry’s Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) VanKirk Career Academy recently hosted Latino Night, a chance for Perry-area residents interested in the Perry campus of DMACC to learn how to enroll and attend.

Hollie Coon, program development director at the VanKirk Career Academy, explained the process, with translation assistance from Marlen Juarez of Perry.

dmacclogoblackProspective students learned about DMACC class offerings at the Perry campus and received details on tuition, financial assistance, enrolling and other helpful tips for first-time college students and their parents. The VanKirk Career Academy offers more than 50 classes in subjects ranging from automotive technology, welding and ag business to health, criminal justice, general business, engineering and education.
