URBANDALE — Des Moines Christian completed a season sweep of Woodward-Granger in WCC baseball with a 10-0 win in five innings Tuesday.

Four days after defeating the Hawks, 15-4, the Lions (14-6, 10-3) posted the shutout behind the pitching of Nick Fox, who allowed only two hits and two walks in five frames while striking out four.

Tyler Ketcham was 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the hosts, who scored once in the first inning, four times in the second and twice more in the third to open a 7-0 lead. A single tally in the fourth and two more in the fifth ended the game early.

Sam Stroh, Cole Peterson and Jackson Harris aided the DMC attack with two hits apiece.

Race Brant and Austin Scharlau had singles for W-G (10-7, 9-4), with Brant and Cole Theisen drawing walks to account for the only four base runners the Hawks could generate.

Jackson Larson suffered the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits and two walks in two innings. Reese Jamison was touched for five runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks in his two innings on the hill while Austin Ober yielded a hit and a walk.

W-G visits West Central Valley for a WCC twin bill Thursday. The Hawks do not play Friday or Saturday, but Hawk Diamond in Granger will serve as a neutral host site for four games Saturday as Creston faces Bondurant-Farrar at 10:30 a.m. and B-F battling Underwood at 1 p.m. Underwood faces Winterset at 3:30 p.m. with the final game, at 6 p.m., pitting Winterset against Van Buren.
